Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation Review

I’ve had the Huda beauty faux filter foundation for a year and a half now and have been using it every single day since. I wanted to share a review with you all and to let you know how amazing it is!

Anyone that knows me will know that when it comes to foundations, I love a full coverage, a velvet finish and that it’s long lasting.

The Huda beauty faux filter foundation has really surprised me because it has all them qualities. I’ve used a few foundations over the years and not found a single foundation with all three qualities.

Packaging and design:

The Huda beauty faux filter foundation comes in a plastic bottle with a pump. It has the Huda beauty logo across the front. I feel like it has a really expensive look and feel to it. Personally, I love it.

Value:

I purchased the Huda beauty faux filter foundation from Cultbeauty for £32 and it has 35ml. I got 2 foundations one for when I go on holidays and the summer (I tan realllly quickly) and one for when my tan has worn off. I got the shades Amaretti and Cheesecake. Personally I feel like the foundation is worth £32. I use half a pump and it’s enough for a full coverage and I wear make up on a daily basis. It lasted me about a year. I’ve still got my lighter shade so that will probably last me another year.

Shades:

The Huda beauty faux filter foundation comes in 30 shades. It has warm and cool toned shades so there’s definitely a shade for everyone!

Quality and performance:

I’m definitely not disappointed in the quality of the foundation. It does what it says on the bottle and works amazingly. Giving a soft velvety finish. The only thing I’m not a big fan of is the strong perfume scent. But you get used to it after a bit!

I used a normal brush to apply the foundation at first and it was a disaster. It’s best applied with an extra damp beauty blender. I would also suggest applying a primer. I find the Huda beauty primer works best. One foundation bottle has lasted me just under a year and I am on to my second bottle. So I guess you can say I’m a fan!

Final thoughts:

The Huda beauty faux filter foundation is by far the best foundation I have used! The only bad point I can think of is that it has a perfume smell but it’s not too strong. If your looking for a full coverage foundation with a soft velvety finish and is long lasting then look no further.
